GOZ016 - Qasam San Gorg

Description

Qasam San Gorg is a natural pond, located in western Gozo, between Santa Luċija and Ta’ Kerċem. This pond covers an area of approximately 1,750m2. The pond is not accessible to the public and is locked behind a gate, located on privately-owned land. The pond is predominantly surrounded by agricultural land, and therefore it is likely that the pond is used for the irrigation of these fields. Due to limited accessibility, it is unclear what species are present within the pond and its basin. The site is not protected by any legislation.
