MAL081 - Il-Ghadir

Description

Il-Għadir is a reservoir, intended for irrigation and water storage, located in southern Malta within Iż-Żurrieq administrative area, close to Ħal Kirkop. The reservoir is constructed out of limestone blocks and covers an approximate area of 2,275m2. The site is accessible through a surfaced storage yard, however, it is located on privately-owned property and is not accessible to the public. The site is predominantly surrounded by agricultural land and it is likely that the reservoirs are being used for the irrigation of these fields. The site is not protected under any legislation.
