MAL098 - Maghtab Siltation Ponds 2 & 3

Description

Similar to the adjacent siltation pond, this body of water was also created to capture water running-off the waste management site. This pond seemed slightly more naturalised than the first one including populations of Typha domingensis and some Tamarisk. Arundo donax (Giant Reed) is also present. The T. domigensis population covers about 75% of the site. This pond also dries out during the summer months.
